The Liebster Awards: I was tagged! :D

So, I recently found out that two dear friends of mine nominated me for their Leibster Awards. And since I love these tag kinda things yet never get tagged. I'm jumping to get this going!

These are the Liebster Awards, a random system that anyone can take part in in order to share the little blogs around the world wide web and get their names out there! After looking up these awards, I found that how it works can vary depending on who does it, as the original Liebster Awards seemed to just focus on promoting blogs rather than adding questions and such on, so like chain letters, rumours or Chinese whispers, these Liebster Awards adapt and develop for other bloggers, depending on what sort of course you want to take with it.

1. Link back to the Blogger who nominated you for this Spiffing Award.
2. Answer the 11 questions given to you by the blogger whom has so kindly nominated you.
3. Nominate 11 other bloggers with under 200 followers for this spiffing award.
5. Pray that they read this post and find out that they have been nominated!
6. Go to the blogs you have nominated and notify them of what you have done.
7. Give your nominees 11 wonderful questions. Just don't get personal, kay?
8. You did not realise that I missed out Numero 4 on this list, right?

So, as mentioned before I was nominated by two awesome friends of mine:
Chiima from Okay! Musume Time and many other blogs, and Momo from Momo Musu.
Obviously since they both made me very happy, I'll be answering each of their questions.

Up first Chiima's questions:

1. How did you find Idols, and what got you into them?
I first found idols because I was introduced to them by Kate from Sakura Mankai who I barely knew at the time. We talked online for a little bit, and eventually ended up attending the same school as her. She is the one who constantly spammed me with video's until I started to love Berryz Koubo's Watashi no mirai no danna-sama, after that she got me to cover it with her and I enjoyed it so much that I then fully dove into this hobby.

2. How long have you been blogging for now?
My first ever blogpost dates back to the 1st of Januari, 2011. I posted to a blog I had named The life of hoilo which had a diary concept much like this one. At the time I was much younger though and I didn't use the blog in the same way. It was basically much more shallow and like a diary than this one. It soon died out as I lost motivation.
I started my second blog named Sarah in Kpopland on the 30th of December 2012, and it was meant to be focused on review Kpop video's. I was more diligent with this blog but it eventually became a drag so I stopped posting. I do plan on writing review on there in the future though.
I first started this blog on the 30th of November 2013. I am approaching it in a different way since I will never oblige myself to write in it so that I will only blog when I feel like it. I hope that this way the blog might last longer than the previous two.

3. Think of a random Idol song. The first one that pops into your head, what is it, and what do you think of it?
The first song I thought of was Morning Musume's Mr. Moonlight ~Ai no Big Band~. The song has been my favorite song for a long time since I love the swingy sound, the cross dressing and the fact that my Hello! Project favorite has a prominent role in it. I love it and hopefully will continue to love it forever =3

4. Now think of your favourite Idol song! What is it, and why is it your favourite?
Since I am absolutely incapable of choosing favorites I will instead ignore that word and just mention a song that I adore and has had a prominent role in my fandom much like the other two songs I've mentioned thus fare had. Lucifer is the song that originally got me to like SHINee's music. Before that I would only watch TV-shows with them on YouTube and skip over the performance parts. It wasn't that I disliked the songs, I just didn't feel like having to wait for the show to continue. By some magic way I still managed to be very attracted to this song though which eventually got me to purposely listen to it instead of picking up pieces of it in the background. I adore every piece of it.

5. If you could go to any country right now, which country would it be?
It's a hard one... but probably Japan provided that SHINee will be touring there at that moment so that I can go to performances of each of my favorite groups. My some weird twist of fate SHINee would also chose to perform in Korean instead of Japanese btw~

6. What was your favourite childhood cartoon?
Again with the favorite? I'll just go with two that I liked a lot: Winx Club! and Avatar: The Last Airbender. I've raced home and sneakily watched TV for both.

7. Did you ever like Anime or Manga before you got into Idols?
Yes, it was about 2-3 years before I got into Idols that I first discovered Anime, after which my love for Manga followed. It is because of this passion that I ended up talking to Kate this much in the first place XD

8. What was your best subject in school?
To be honest, I'm not even sure... It fluctuated a lot over the years. On my MYP diploma my highest grade was for french (7/7, hell yeah!). For my High School diploma my highest grades were for English and Computer Science (both 8/10).

9. What is your favourite book? Have you re-read it?
Another favorite question? Really? This one is the worst so far though, since there are so many I would love to mention and would feel guilty about if I don't mention them... From the books I've read recently I think the Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson was pretty damn amazing and I cried buckets over The Fault in our Stars by John Green. Series that I've adored in the past, and still love are the Eragon series by Christopher Paolini, the Harry Potter series by J. K. Rowling, the Earth's Children series by Jean M. Auel and the Wicca series by Cate Tiernan. I've also enjoyed most of the books by Eva Ibbotson and Marie-Louise Jensen, I love Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, Het licht van mijn ogen by Tina Schuitema deserves a mention, Holes by Louise Sachar is also amazing and... well, I could go on and on XD

10. If you were in a Zombie Apocolypse, who would you ally with? It can be anyone, from fictional to real, to someone you do or do not know! Choose wisely!
I guess every hero that has survived a Zombie Apocolype? XD

11. Would you ever volunteer for the Hunger Games?
I honestly don't know. Part of me says that I would do it for someone I care about a lot, another part of me says I would be too much of a coward.

Well, then, this is a damn essay and I'm not even half way through!
Now let's continue with Momo's questions!

1. If you could go back in time and introduce your past self to idols sooner, would you, and about when would you do it (like how old would the past you be)? And why that time, if there's a reason?
I guess I might introduce it to the me from not too long after I discovered Anime and such so that I could've indulged in this hobby for a bit longer without 'life' getting in the way too much.

2. What song do you wish you could have coordinated instead to make it better? (I mean everything from line distribution, to dance formation, to pv design, etc.)
I don't know.. maybe Kimi Sae Ireba Nani mo Iranai so that Chiima won't have to cry about it as much? XD Can't screw that PV up more than it already is XD

3. If you could make a new idol unit, who would be in it and what would it be called?
It would contain Yossy, Zukki, Chisato and Linlin and would be named something with a powerful sound to it :P

4. Who is your favorite idol and why? (Optionally: Did you always like them, and if not, what made you change your mind about them?)
When it comes to Hello! Project it's Yoshizawa Hitomi. I've had a great time watching her appearances in Hello! Morning and her type of humor just get to me in a good way. I just love her personality in general and she's gorgeous too. I've liked  her from the time I found out about her.
When it comes to the idol world in general then it would be some odd tie between Key, Minho and Onew of SHINee. I constantly kept switching between the three of them until I just gave up on choosing between them. With them the story is quite similar to the one with Yossy. I fell in love with their personalities and everything expanded from there.

5. If you had any super-power, what would it be and why?
Either the ability to fly, to be invisible or to breath under water.
I'd love the convenience of being able to fly and I think it would be an awesome way to relax.
Being invisible would also be very convenient and would probably grant me many perks (yes, I would be up to some mischief).
And breathing under water is because I adore being under water and would stay there much longer if my longs didn't force me to go up for some air on occasion. I guess it would also be convenient during a flood or something...

6. Which idol group (or even just 'bunch of random idols') would you want to be included if a new live action of your favorite anime was announced?
Included? Uhm.. I guess I wouldn't minde an Anime about SHINee featuring SHINee, voiced by SHINee with soundtracks by SHINee =3

7. How do you explain idols if/when people ask you about them/why you like them?
I tell them that it's the same concept as American music, but it's focused on groups, in a different language, less focused on sex and by better looking people :D

8. What was the first CD you ever bought? (doesn't have to be idol related)
The first CD I bought? Or my parents bought for me? XD I guess the answer to the first option would be both Mr. Moonlight ~Ai no Big Band~ and I WISH simultaneously. The answer for the second option would be that I honestly don't know...

9. Is there a song which does not have a PV, that you wish did? And if so, which song?
Uhm... Please Don't Go by Onew and Jonghyun, so that I could cry even better? XD

10. Are there any idols that you used to like, but then grew to dislike them as you got to know them better?
Momoko... I only really liked her at first because I could easily tell her apart from the rest XD

11. What's your favorite number? O 3O
Number 3, just like you!

So that's it for the questions... Now I'm supposed to nominate other people and think up questions for them. But the only bloggers I know are those who I've mentioned in this post and Chiima's sister. And all of them have already been nominated by someone else. So I think I'm just going to leave it all at this XD
Thanks for reading~

  1. You liked the Earth's Children series? My mum read those and think the last book was awful, apparently repeated most of the other books and wasn't an interesting read =/

Number 10 from Momo: was it because of the pigtails?

    1. My first sentence may have come off pretentious "You liked the Earth's Children series?" I meant it as in 'my mum liked it too, but not the last one'

    2. I did like the Earth's Children series, but I agree that the last book is horrible. I prefer to pretend like it doesn't exist XD I hate everything about it. Same goes for the last book of the Wicca series btw :P But 1 bad book doesn't make me dislike a series as a whole :)
